CMWDT National Camp

Our National  camp  is held every year on Labour Weekend at Totara Springs, Matamata. From humble beginnings back in 1980’s, we have now expanded to almost 400 participants both able bodied and disabled from all over NZ and beyond for this weekend of fellowship, worship, praise and fun. It is a time for seeking God with other like minded people. It ‘s also a great time to meet new people and get reacquainted with old friends. We have both informative and inspiring teaching sessions and a celebration time where we enjoy a fancy dress and dance.

Christian Ministries with Disabled Trust is celebrating 30 years of their National Camp at Matamata this year. It is going to be awesome! There will be many people coming for the weekend and some for just the day, but whatever you can commit to, it is going to be a wonderful time had by all!

National Camp 2011

We have a great afternoon planned for the Saturday with a Carnival! This is going to be an open afternoon for the local community of Matamata and surrounding areas to come along and celebrate with us. There will be rides and attractions, stalls and activities for all ages. The local schools & churches have been so wonderful in their support along with the local business community – we are even going to have the “Press” there to document the afternoon’s festivities.
Whether you have been with us on camp before or not, we would like to invite you to come along and share the afternoon with us.
For more information, contact Jeanette info@cmwdt.org.nz today.
Numbers are limited – you won’t want to  miss out!

Camp for Kids – Kids Connect

Kids Connect is a camp specifically for children with physical disabilities aged 9-16. This year, the camp was held at Blockhouse Bay Auckland. Our camps are conducted by experienced staff and we take every effort to give children a safe and enjoyable weekend.
Our aim is that every child comes away with lasting memories of what they have experienced, explored and enjoyed at our camp. Simple but full Biblical teaching is given in a relevant way. We focus on building strong, healthy relationships with other children (with and without physical disabilities) and with group leaders.
We have a weekend packed full of activities, action and fun-

  • Team games and competitions
  • Orienteering on a wheelchair accessible track
  • Quad bikes
  • Craft
  • Discussions
