Auckland Committee

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Holidays are always good for reflection of the past year and what things are in store for the new year. I hope you were able to do exactly that with the Lord for 2005.
The committee had a retreat/planning day in January to see where the Lord is taking us as members of the committee and CFFD as a whole. We welcome Jade O'Leary to the committee, along with Alison and David Ryan, Vanessa Creamer, Michael Stoneham, John Beetge and Jean Griffiths (Chairman).
Our aim this year is to focus more on our love/relationship with Christ. This song speaks for itself :
Let me know You more intimately, Jesus;
Cause my heart to exalt You, Lord !
Let me know You more,
And shower You with praises -
With my heart, it is You I adore.

Hi, my name is Jade O'Leary. I am a voluntary assistant at the Christian Ministries with Disabled Trust. I have been working at the Drop-in-Centre since 1999. Currently I am studying at Auckland University and am completing the final year of my degree. I enjoy combining my research for my degree with the practical work that I do at the Centre. This gives me the opportunity to fine-tune my awareness of the needs of people I support at the Centre.
My hope for the future is that people with disabilities will become more accepted in the workplace.
Finally the opportunities afforded to me at the Centre have been a vehicle of blessing in my own life. It is this blessing which I hope to see spreading into other levels of society.
