Auckland Committee
This is the time of year when we look back and see if we have achieved what God has asked us to do throughout 2005. For the ministry it is knowing that we have incorporated the 3 Es ( Educate, Equip & Evangelise ) in our events, and knowing that lives have been touched. This is the same for each individual as we reach out to those who don't know Jesus, to live a righteous life, and knowing that we have pleased the Lord.
Ps.33:13 : "From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind: from His dwelling place He watches all who live on earth - He who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do."
This is a good verse for us all to keep us on our toes knowing that He sees all we do. Rather scary when you think about it, but great when He richly rewards you !
Riches are a blessing to those who
make them a BLESSING to OTHERS.
The committee would like to thank everyone for being a part of our events and praying for us. Without prayer we know we could not have achieved what has been accomplished this year. Already we are in prayer for next year and one of the big things we are aiming for is to support the other CFFD branches throughout NZ. As we work together we can reach out further afield to the lost and needy and bringing light into their lives.
John 8:12; Jesus : "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year - don't forget to reach out to others over the holidays. Bless you heaps !

My Testimony
Diana York
I can clearly remember that Sunday morning five years ago when I nervously went, for the first time, into Edendale citadel. A couple of weeks earlier than this David Green had invited me to the Sunday service and I went very apprehensively, as I'd never been to the Salvation Army before. However, as I went through the door, a real sense of belonging came to me. The people were extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. I soon became a regular attendee, I now have two families, my wonderful Dad, Mum and Brother and his family, and my church family.
I love them both very dearly. Since the time that I have come to know the Lord as my personal Saviour, He's made such a difference in my life. I am sure whatever happens I will continue in my walk with Him and I have felt His Holy Spirit helping me to become a Salvation Army Soldier. Just because I have Cerebral Palsy doesn't mean I'm disabled in God's eyes. There are some people who are able-bodied that are disabled in their spirit because they don't have the Lord Jesus as their Saviour, and I'm praying that, through my witness, others may too really come to know, and love Him like I do, and have a complete life like me.
