INTRODUCTION
Hi friends. We have had a busy 3 months. In September we had a cake stall which raised $636.40
- thank you everyone. The raffle was drawn and the rug was won by our own Joan Parker - thank
you everyone for selling tickets. It is warming up now and the busyness of Christmas is coming. My
garden has been lovely all spring and now the roses are all coming out. We have a busy year
ahead.
OUR BUS - WHAT A BLESSING !
The Lord came up with the money and we were able to get the signing
done for the bus - it looks great. We had a lovely blessing of it with Di
Woods and some guests from other churches. We have now got our
bus up and going. It takes 15 people and 2 wheelchairs at the moment.
We are going to rent it out to groups. Paul Gabrielle is looking after the bus. If you want more
information ring him. There is a $2 charge for people to travel on the bus.
NATIONAL CAMP
We took 27 people on a van and our
bus to the national camp last month.
When we got there, lots of people
had a good look at it. Thank you to
Luke, Ramesh, Michael, Annedien,
and Lorraine for being buddies - they
did so well.
WELCOME TO ...
Ngatamaine Tauranga came to camp
for the first time. She asked Jesus
into her life at the camp and is now
going to church - Praise God. She
was able to share about camp and her feelings were
put onto the big screen at the church so they could get
to know her.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ...
Congratulations to Maria
Sinclair who now has her
bus licence, after passing
the test on the 14th October.
WELCOME BACK ...
Hendrico Viljoen has
come home from South
Africa and he was
welcomed onto our
committee this month.
He will have many interesting stories to
tell, so we will enjoy catching up with
him.
COMING EVENTS ...
5th February : Shared BBQ tea with Jean Griffiths.
5th March : Day trip to the Southern Star Abbey in Takapau.
22-25th April : The Revelation Dance group will be here for an outreach to
Hawke's Bay, and will be open to all churches. This will be
a major event, so start telling people about it now. If you
need more information call Joan.
SMILES
However we are feeling
Despite problems mile or mile
We can make someone feel better
If we can summon up a smile
It might take a giant effort
It might not be there to stay
But just a little smile of ours
Will brighten someone's day
And if a friend is feeling low
We can stay with them awhile
With a gentle word, a loving hug
And a sympathetic smile
A little smile can mean so much
Each tender heart to lift
A ray of sunshine to the soul
A very precious gift
And smiling back is wonderful
No charge - each smile is free
And I know that I feel better
If someone smiles at me.

JILL'S THOUGHTS ...
Hi my name is Jill Adams. I belong to a wonderful group -
Hawke's Bay CFFD. Most of us live in Napier, Hastings or
Havelock North. On Saturday 4th September, Joan Parker
and a few more of us had a ride in our own bus. It's a
wonderful ride, even for people in wheelchairs. Our trip
took us from Hastings to Napier - a very smooth ride.
Then we embarked onto the catamaran for an afternoon
cruise. The weather was perfect and the sea was blue
green with a few tiny white horses. It was a dream of a trip.
The passengers with a disability were cared for. I hope we
have many more trips together in our super bus. Thank
you. Praise the Lord for all the blessings God gives.
P.S. The trip to the bus to and from Matamata camp was
wonderful too. Thanks to Paul and all concerned. God
bless you.
- Love from Jill.
ITS CHRISTMAS TIME
We all need a break, so have a blessed Christmas & New
Year, and we see you all in February.
