THE H.B. CFFD NEWSLETTER

Happy New Year to everybody !

Small picture of people holding hands over a meal H.B. C.F.F.D. had their Christmas Break-Up at Saint Mary's Church in Waipukurau. It was the Advent Service, and Leo Te Kira was running the Service.

We were blessed to have the Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church Small picture of Polynesian dancers ( Cook Islands ) from Hastings came down. We had about 60 people. We had people from Hastings, Napier, Waipukurau, Waipawa and Takapu.

We opened with Christmas Carols, then a time of praise with Hendrico running the Worship. We had a good time of prayer and testimony, and then Pastor Ken York from the Apostolic Church ( Waipukurau ) gave a speech. We sang more Christmas carols and Leo directed us in the communion. It was a blessed time for some of our people with disabilities who had not had the communion for a very long time. Leo finished the Service with blessings in English and Māori. We came together for a B.B.Q. tea with lots of food and fellowship.

We have lost Ruth and Vera Salter this year; they are living in Wanganui now. Mr. and Mrs. Rod, and Lourdes Gabrielle also have gone to Wanganui to live. We will miss them - also Garth's Grandmother.

H.B. C.F.F.D. starts the year off with a B.B.Q. and Service on the 3rd February with Pastor Mark Fox as the speaker. We are having it at new Village Baptist in Olive Grove in Havelock North.
