This a chance for you to make a statement by making and/or wearing a hat. There will be prizes in many categories, such as best, worst, most interesting, most creative, most boring, most eco-friendly, most original etc. Our speaker will be Pastor Mark Enright from Karori Baptist Church. Bring $5 for lunch and something to share for afternoon tea. | ||||

| National Camp Forms | ||||
| Registration forms are now available for National Camp to be held at Totara Springs, Matamata from 6pm Friday 24th October to 2pm Monday 27th October ( Labour Weekend ).
The Camp Fee is $135 for adults (or $125 if paid in full by 1st September - non-refundable). Transport costs are additional. Those who wish to fly up need to notify Lyn Hawkins immediately. All others need to have their Registration Forms into her as soon as possible, so the transport can be arranged. Please request a Form from Lyn if you haven't got one. | ||||

| With our ever-growing mailing list and the increase in postal charges, we now need to look at ways to reduce costs. Emailing, instead of posting, our newsletter to as many people as possible is one way of doing this. If you have an email address that we can use as a way of communicating with you, we would be grateful if you would let us know, either by email or telephoning John or Lyn. | ||||

There is also a church-affiliated, disability-friendly home-group on Tuesday evenings at Avalon Assembly of God, Lower Hutt which you are welcome to attend. If you are interested, ring John Hawkins. | ||||

| Disability Awareness Sunday | ||||
| 15th June. Why not ask your pastor now if your church could do something different on that Sunday, even perhaps having a special service ? Lots of good tips can be obtained by contacting
Christian Ministries With Disabled Trust, for an excellent booklet "Ideas for Disability Awareness Sunday" that your pastor might like to see. | ||||
| Hawkes Bay Branch 25th Anniversary | ||||
| An invitation has been extended to all to attend the Hawkes' Bay CFFD Branch 25th Anniversary Celebrations from 15th-17th August. A Dinner will be held on Saturday night at Hastings Apostolic Church, cnr Ikanui Road & Karaitiana Street, Frimley, Hastings at a cost of $25 per person.
